Thriving vs. surviving: How can we embrace eustress (good stress) without burning our employees out?

We can start with making work a nice place to escape to, instead of escape from. Easier said than done. Try opening up their schedule, allowing time for them to explore other areas of interest and challenge themselves outside of their standard day-to-day tasks. For example:

  1. Enrolling in courses
  2. Joining or creating a new committee
  3. Book clubs
  4.  Peer support
  5. A new sport

All of these will foster a collaborative culture, and you get to enjoy the secondary effects of having an engaged workforce!
